Mitul graduated in dentistry from King’s College London University in 2012. Thereafter he completed several jobs across both general practice and hospital, where he worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry. He completed his specialist training in Periodontology at Guy’s hospital in 2019, where he graduated with distinction in his Masters in Clinical Dentistry (Periodontology) qualification from King’s College London. He has also successfully attained the Membership in Periodontics diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, as well as entry onto the GDC specialist register.  

 

Mitul has held several roles within the British Society of Periodontology, and currently serves both on the main council itself and as the Chairperson of the Early Career’s Group. In his role he is actively engaged in lecturing at national conferences and in organising training courses for dental hygienists, general dentists, and specialist dentists. He is also an active member of the European Federation of Periodontology and the ITI (international Team for Implantology).  

 

As a specialist, Mitul accepts referrals for the management of complex gum diseases. He is experienced in complex bone grafting procedures, sinus lifts and implant placement. His greatest interest lies in cosmetic gum surgeries to manage both gum recession and situations where patients may present with ‘the excess show of gum tissue (a ‘gummy smile’). His expertise in the field of cosmetic periodontal procedures has led to him being featured extensively in the press, across publications such as The Telegraph, Harper’s Bazaar UK, Cosmopolitan Magazine and Country and Town House.
