Jose is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Trust and a Specialist in Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry. 

​

He qualified as a dentist from the Universidad Santa Maria in Venezuela in 2000. He was appointed as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Trust in 2018. His clinical interests include multi disciplinary management of complex clinical cases, removable prosthodontics, tooth wear and dental implants.

Since graduating Jose has completed a doctorate measuring the progression of tooth wear over 3 years. He has published in excess of 20 peer reviewed papers, has held various academic positions in London, is an active undergraduate and postgraduate examiner, peer and grant reviewer, has lectured nationally and internationally, and has held various positions in dental committees. 

​

Jose is actively involved in teaching and mentoring, has co-developed endodontic skills courses for general dental practitioners, and is actively involved in clinical research. In his spare time Jose enjoys going to concerts, reading and keeping fit.
